Dover Beach
If your idea of a perfect beach is powdery white sand sloping gently into placid turquoise water, then look no further than Dover Beach. Located on the south-west coast of Barbados in the popular “St. Lawrence Gap” area, Dover Beach is a favourite of anyone seeking calm waters to cool off in after long arduous sessions of soaking up the Bajan sun.
Public parking and washrooms are available and numerous small shops and food kiosks were also recently added for the Cricket World Cup. In addition there are numerous hotels that line Dover Beach that welcome beach refugees in search of sustenance and maybe the odd rum-punch or two. If you are dropping in at the Sothern Palms make sure you stop and say hello to “Koko” the SP’s resident host.
