Andromeda Botanic Gardens

Started in 1954 this seven acre site contains an extraordinary collection of indigenous Caribbean plants as well as exotics from around the world. With over 600 species on display including an extensive orchid display there is always something spectacular to see.

Donated to the people of Barbados by its founder, Ms. Iris Bannochie in 1988 the gardens are now maintained by the Barbados National Trust. A small admission fee is charged and the site is also available for weddings and private functions.
